The 만우절 (man-ujeol, or April Fool's Day) in Korea is a tradition that dates back to the Joseon dynasty, on that day the citizens were allowed to lie down with each other for the purpose of having fun. Even today, the most common joke is to put snow in a bowl and give it to the victim of the joke.
April Fool's Day happens on the first snow day of the year.
