Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (신입사관 구해령) is a historical romance and comedy drama set in the early 19th century. Starring Shin Se-Kyung, as a free-spirited woman Goo Hae-Ryung which works as historian who are generally looked down upon because of her gender; and Cha Eun-Woo, as a prince working underground as a romance novelist.

At the MBC Drama Awards 2019, Shin Se Kyung won the ‘Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Wednesday-Thursday Drama’ and the ‘Best Actress’ awards;

Lee Ji Hoon won ‘Best Supporting Cast in a Wednesday-Thursday Drama’; and last but not least, Cha Eun Woo and Shin Se Kyung won the ‘Best Couple Award’.
Shooting locations:
One of the drama’s shooting location it’s none other than Changdeokgung Palace and its "Secret Garden" (named also Biwon and Huwon). Among the scenes filmed in the palace, there is this one filmed in the garden.
