DISCOVER YOUR SKIN TYPE

Learn to recognize your skin type to buy the most suitable products for you!

The Korean skincare is one of the must in terms of beauty in recent years. We have heard and seen all the colors, from the 10 basic steps for a perfect routine, to the most varied types of masks, tonics and many other products.

There is no doubt that South Korea is one of the pilot countries in the world of beauty and that many Western celebrities have started to follow the advice or the "rules/laws" proposed or indicated by it. What many of us, however, miss, or simply forget, is that Asians primarily by genetics have a different skin from ours and for this simple reason many products that we see used or advertised by our favorite idols or actors do not have the same effect on us then, even, can create annoying allergic reactions.

In today’s article we want to help you choose the most suitable Beauty products for your skin type and to do so we will explain first how many and what are the types of skin but above all how to recognize them!

Well, let’s get started!

DRY SKIN

Dry skin is defined as such because at the skin level there is a lack of hydration (dehydrated skin) or sebum (alipid skin).

Those who have this type of skin often experience these characteristics:

  • Frail skin

  • Little elasticity

  • Thin and rough skin to the touch

  • Small pores

  • Few black spots

  • Reddish spots

  • Frequent irritations

  • Skin pulling after a long bath or shower

What are the Beauty tips for this skin?

  1. Always wear a 50 or 50+ sunscreen even if it is cloudy outside. Just because the sky isn’t clear doesn’t mean the sun’s rays don’t hit your skin.

  2. Use skin regeneration creams to protect your skin from external stimuli such as smog.

  3. Use creams with a soft texture, even those with 24h action are fine.

  4. Choose moisturizing and/or illuminating masks rich in vitamin C.

OIL SKIN

This type of skin is exactly the opposite of the one explained earlier, characterized by an excess of sebum, but sometimes it is difficult to recognize because it loves to "disguise" from dry skin. To be more precise, there are several subcategories, about five: seborrheic, acneic, oily, mixed and asphyxial.

Those who have this type of skin have characteristics that can sometimes be contrasting with each other such as:

  • Very shiny and oily skin to the touch or dull and opaque

  • Acne

  • Blackheads, whites or pimples

  • Wide pores

  • Cyst

  • Dry skin at the first layer of skin, but fat below

What are the Beauty tips for this skin?

  1. Use a cleanser to cleanse your skin at its best.

  2. Use purifying masks and apply moisturizing serum (better if able to reduce pores).

  3. Exfoliate using a rebalancing product.

  4. Use creams that can regulate the secretion of sebum.
