Lim Seong Bin was born in Korea on September 12, 1987. At the age of 17, he began to enter the world of khiphop, almost as a game to write small songs. He chooses the stage name 'Beenzino' as a union between the name of the American rapper Benzino and his real name, not believing it would remain the same over the years. On 29 July 2009, together with rapper Dok2, he released his first work entitled "Daily Apartment". He made his first public appearance on June 5, 2011 at the Dok2 'Hustle Real Hard' concert. Thanks to his performance he obtained many awards, so much so that BigHit made him an offer to join BTS, but he refused and signed with iIllionaire Records, agency of Dok2 and The Quiett.
He officially debuts with his first album entitled '24: 26 'on July 3, 2012.
Beenzino was also part of Shimmy Twice's JAZZYFACT crew.
In 2013 he performed at MU: With 2013 and carried out several collaborations with great artists such as K. Will, Lee Hyori and the following year with Junggigo on the song "Want U" which set box office records and finished at the top of all the Korean charts.
In 2014 he traveled the world as a guest on Verbal Jint's tour and the following year with his own personal tour in the USA.
Beenzino is also very skilled in sculpture, subject where he graduated at Seoul National University. He was also part of the IABstudio, a famous architecture and urban design laboratory.
In 2015 he began his relationship with the German model Stefanie Michova, a relationship that lasts over the years despite the artist's enlistment in 2017. The photos of them hugging again after two years have gone viral all over the world. The couple also recently participated in the tvN program “On and Off” where they show their everyday life.
On January 1, 2021 he asked her to marry him in a very romantic way.
In 2020, Beenzino left Illionaire Records and joined Beasts and Natives Alike (BANA) in 2021.
Beenzino celebrated the fifth anniversary of the release of the album "12" by releasing a special vinyl version. The album contains some of his biggest hits including: 'Time Travel', 'Break', 'Dali, Van, Picasso' and 'We Are Going To'. His agency also confirmed that the artist is preparing to make comeback with his second album 'Nowitzki'.
